SWATH presenters interact with workshop participants through dynamic sessions:

• Learning History:  led by award-winning college professors who will engage participants in interactive discussions about cutting-edge topics and trends in African American Texas History.

• Doing History:  led by  public historians, archivists, and other professionals committed to the preservation of history. 

• Working Lunch:  led by award-winning K-16 teachers who showcase fresh approaches to history pedagogy. 

• Making History:  led by outstanding contributors to the preservation or dissemination of historical knowledge related to African American Texas History.
